I'm usually found drinking sweet tea like it's going somewhere, dancing and singing to anything that gets my booty moving, and journaling to remember each and every second of this crazy, crazy life.

The number one question you may have after deciding we gon be besties is what to wear to your session. While there are several resources out there meant to help (including my hand picked Pinterest inspo board), I know this can tend to be a bit overwhelming. Don’t you worry friend. I got You!
I’ve simplified it into 3 tips, making it extremely helpful and easy for you to choose outfits. If you are one of my clients, present or future ;), you get access to more in-depth guidance with this so you don’t have to stress! Yee Yee! Let’s dive right in.
The goal here is for your clothes not to be the focus. If you wear a bold/ loud pattern or neon colors, that will stick out when looking back at your photos. Because Hawaii has amazingly epic views, and your love is what we are celebrating, we definitely don’t want distracting clothing to take away from either of those.
Picking something with neutral colors (such as creams, tans, browns, whites, minimal/soft fading patterns, nothing with big logos) will make you guys blend beautifully with the surroundings. Which is most likely somewhere adventurous, epic, and breathtaking if you plan an adventure experience with me. 😉
The same goes for swimsuits if we choose a water date for the two of you. It’s ok to pair solids and patterns, but doing it in a way that compliment each other will ensure that it doesn’t take the focus of your love.
I thrive best with couples who are adventurous, love the outdoors, aren’t afraid to explore or get their dress a little dirty, are ok with the wind creating movement, and who value intimate and meaningful experiences. I aim to capture raw, wild, authentic moments between you & your boo, and a big part of that is letting go and fully committing to the adventure. I’m here for the free, spirited, and quirky babes who fully embrace yourselves and care more about the moments between you than your hair laying perfectly. Speaking of hair, wearing it loose and down is a good idea to enhance the dramatic wind blown effect!
*SIDE NOTE: If you want your hair perfect and that’s important to you, THAT’s OK! I may not be the photographer for you and that’s ok! You deserve the memories you want and are important to you.:)
Movement is a huge part of how I document your story of love and helps create STUNNING emotion. The best way to incorporate this by wearing anything that is long and flowy. I do want to stress the long part because if you wear a short dress with this Hawaii wind, it will fly right up and your goods are then on display. dresses that are more fitted towards the top and flowy on bottom are great examples of clothing that photography beautfifully. Long skirts are also a good option! If you’re body type doesn’t look flattering in these types of outfits, let’s brainstorm and find other ways to create movement. No worries!
I’m a big advocate of fully embracing who you are. I spent many years wishing I looked like other people. It wasn’t until I stopped comparing and started focusing on what makes me, ME did I find freedom in celebrating my own quirks. You are wonderful, beautiful, and important, JUST the way you are. Our goal here to find clothing that compliments that and feel like you. Ones you feel DANG good in so you can fully immerse in letting go. t.
So more than anything, it’s vitally important for you to feel comfortable in what you choose. It will enhance your experience if you are comfortable because rather than pulling at your top or wondering if your arms look weird, you’ll be focused on your love. The clothes are the last thing I hope you notice when looking back at your photos, but I hope instead that you see and remember the feelings & meaningful moments you shared with your man.
Each love story is unique, so let’s document it in a way that feels true to you. Wanna hangout at a food truck or explore the cliffs? These tips apply either way! Be you and let me do the rest. I’ll create a space for you to be comfortable and completely yourself. I got you!
